Marine transportation safety investigation M24C0256
The occurrence
On 18 October 2024, the passenger ferry Radisson reported that it had struck the wharf after experiencing a total failure of its engine's bridge control system while docking in Québec, Quebec.
Following the striking, the crew was able to secure the vessel at the dock and assisted the injured passengers while waiting for medical transport. Damage to the starboard bow above the waterline was assessed. The TSB is investigating.

The occurrence
On 22 August 2024, the cargo vessel Heemskerkgracht reported that it had run aground in the South Shore Canal off Kahnawake, Quebec, following a loss of propulsion. The vessel anchored while waiting for help and was subsequently refloated and towed to Côte-Sainte-Catherine, Quebec. The TSB is investigating.

On 18 July 2024, the fishing vessel Elite Navigator, with a crew of 7, was reported overdue 125 nautical miles east-northeast of Fogo Island, Newfoundland and Labrador.
