The occurrence
On 19 July 2024, the Earthstar Aircraft eGull basic ultralight aircraft was conducting a local flight from Weyman Airpark, New Brunswick.
During the flight, the aircraft was seen making several low-level turns before descending rapidly into a cornfield, then coming to rest in a vertical position with the tail sticking up. The pilot was fatally injured.

The occurrence
On 16 June 2024, the De Havilland DHC-2 float-equipped aircraft, operated by Canadian Fly-In Fishing (Red Lake) Limited, was departing Chukuni River, Ontario, on a visual flight rules flight to Thicketwood Lake, Ontario, with 1 pilot and 4 passengers on board.
While climbing out after takeoff, the pilot lost control of the aircraft and collided with the shoreline, resulting in the destruction of the aircraft. The emergency locator transmitter was activated.

The occurrence
On 24 May 2024, a privately registered Murphy Rebel aircraft departed Squamish Municipal Airport, British Columbia, on a recreational flight to Courtenay Airpark, British Columbia, with 1 pilot and 1 passenger on board.
At around 1741 local time, the aircraft collided with terrain 12.5 nautical miles south-southwest of Squamish Municipal Airport. The emergency locator transmitter activated, along with an automatic cellphone emergency notification system.

The occurrence
On 28 June 2024, a Bombardier Inc. DHC-8-402 aircraft, operated by Porter Airlines Inc., was on approach to land at Fredericton International Airport, New Brunswick, when the aircraft experienced a hard landing and aft fuselage strike. As a result, the flight crew conducted a go-around, and returned to land without further incident.

The occurrence
On 07 May 2024, the Pilatus PC-12/47 aircraft, operated by Kudlik Aviation Inc., was on a flight from Chesterfield Inlet Airport, Nunavut, to Rankin Inlet Airport, Nunavut, with 2 crew members and 1 passenger on board.
As the aircraft started its descent, the engine lost power. The flight crew declared a MAYDAY and proceeded to land on the sea ice with the gear in the retracted position approximately 5 nautical miles east of Rankin Inlet Airport.
