The occurrence
On , the barge Lafarge Eagle ran aground while being towed by the tug Mauna Loa in the Fraser River, BC. The tug Sea Imp XI was assisting at the time. There were no injuries or pollution reported.

The occurrence
On 01 April 2021, Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) assessed the weather conditions and notified fish harvesters that the snow crab fishery in area 12 of the Gulf of St. Lawrence would open at 0001 on 03 April 2021. At the time of the notification, there was ice in Richibucto Harbour, New Brunswick, and an excavator was needed to break ice at the wharf to put the Tyhawk in the water.

On at 0310 Newfoundland Daylight Time, a crew member on the fishing vessel Suvak went overboard while setting gillnets in Davis Strait, approximately 120 nautical miles northeast of Qikiqtarjuaq, Nunavut.

The occurrence
In the morning of , the fishing vessel Island Lady departed for the fishing grounds with 2 people on board. In the early evening, other harvesters were unable to contact the Island Lady. A local search began, joined shortly afterwards by Marine Communications and Traffic Services (MCTS) of Labrador and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) resources.
