Investigation report: March 2020 collision between two bulk carriers in the Plumper Sound, Southern Gulf Islands, British Columbia

Richmond, British Columbia, 8 February 2021 — Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (M20P0092) into the 30 March 2020 collision of the bulk carriers Golden Cecilie and Green K-Max 1 in the Plumper Sound, Southern Gulf Islands, British Columbia.

The TSB conducted a limited-scope, fact-gathering investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues.
