The scallop dragger made 18 passes today and recovered useful quantities of material. The diving team working on removing the mooring clumps has located some pieces of fuselage, one that appears to be fuselage structure approximately 15 feet long and a number of 4x5 foot pieces. Since side scan sonar will not pick up flat pieces of wreckage laying on the bottom, investigators will have to use laser line scan to show if any material is left in the debris field. Ground searchers will continue to check the shoreline this weekend for any possible debris.
Work is continuing on the IFE system.
About 64 % of the aircraft by weight has been recovered.
Electronic circuit boards continue to be recovered in the dragger operation.
