TSB Deploys Team to Investigate Air accident in Resolute Bay, Nunavut

(Gatineau, Quebec, August 20, 2011) - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has deployed a team to today’s air accident in Resolute Bay, Nunavut.

On 20 August 2011, at approximately 1:30 pm Eastern Time, a Boeing 737 operated by First Air, was involved in an accident.

The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
